1. Information we collect

  • Account information such as name, email address, role, and authentication details.
  • Business, store, catalog, customer, employee, sales, inventory, and configuration data you enter.
  • Device, application version, IP address, log, diagnostic, and security-event information.
  • Subscription, billing status, and payment-provider references. We do not store raw payment-card numbers or CVV values.

  • Authenticate users and enforce roles, store access, and subscribed features.
  • Process transactions and generate receipts, reports, and operational insights.
  • Diagnose failures, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve performance.
  • Meet legal, accounting, security, and compliance obligations.

3. Business customer data

Businesses using Shaun POS generally control the personal information they enter about their customers and employees. We process that information on the business’s instructions to provide the service. Requests concerning that data should normally be directed to the relevant business.

4. Sharing and service providers

We may share information with infrastructure, communications, analytics, billing, and payment partners only as needed to operate the service. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets subject to appropriate safeguards.

5. Data retention

We retain information for as long as an account is active and as needed to provide the service, maintain financial and audit records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. Retention periods may differ by data type and jurisdiction.

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encryption in transit, scoped permissions, and security monitoring. No system is completely secure, so account owners must also protect credentials, devices, and network access.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information. Some information must be retained for legal, security, audit, or financial-record obligations.

8. International processing

Information may be processed in countries other than the one where it was collected. Where required, we use appropriate contractual and legal safeguards for international transfers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our service or legal obligations change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when a change is material.

10. Contact

Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through the Contact Support page in Shaun POS or through the support contact associated with your account.
